FTMO payout rules and scaling plan: 14-day cycles, 80% to 90%

No percentage rule at payout on the 2-Step; the constraint is timing and the scaling plan is the lever. What to expect from the first funded trade onward.

What this means for a systematic strategy

FTMO has no percentage consistency rule on the 2-Step, so the payout question is only timing: 14 days after the first funded trade, then every 14 days. The scaling plan is the one lever a systematic strategy can plan for: 10% in four months at a normal risk profile is well inside most backtests, and each step raises both the balance and the split. The MetriX review is the soft constraint: a strategy that produces its month in one day passes the rules but may draw scrutiny; the fix is distribution, the same as at firms with an explicit rule.
