How to pass Funded Trading Plus (2026 rules)

Funded Trading Plus (FT+) is a well-regarded UK forex firm that gets the automation basics right: it permits EAs without pre-approval, allows news trading, and offers a 2-Step Classic with static drawdown. For a PVE-style automated strategy on gold and indices, it's one of the more flexible homes available.

⚠ Rules change often. Always verify the firm's current rules and Terms of Service directly with the firm before installing or deploying any strategy on their account. The figures below were verified May 2026 and may already have changed.

FT+ offers several paths: 1-Step Express, 2-Step Classic, and an Instant Funding (Master) route, across $5K–$200K with scaling to $2.5M. There are no minimum trading days, unlimited time, and the challenge fee is refunded on the first payout.

FT+ permits EAs and news trading and offers the widest platform selection in the space. Its 2-Step Classic uses static drawdown; the 1-Step Express uses a trailing floor that locks to static once you clear the starting balance.

Static vs trailing — pick the 2-Step Classic for systematic

The 2-Step Classic uses an 8% static max loss (fixed from your starting balance, never trails) with a 4% daily limit and 7% targets per phase — the predictable, forex-friendly structure. The 1-Step Express uses a 6% relative trailing max loss that follows your high-water mark, then locks to static once you clear the starting balance. For an automated strategy you'll usually want the static 2-Step, where a normal pullback can't push the floor up under you.

The automation fit is the main draw

FT+ permits EAs without pre-approval for standard trend-following, breakout, swing and scalping styles (it bans only grid, HFT, latency arbitrage and copy trading — none of which describe a PVE strategy). News trading is fully allowed, overnight holding is permitted on most plans, and it supports MT4, MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader and DXtrade — so PVE connects via the PineConnector bridge on MetaTrader. Metals (XAU) and indices are tradable.

How to pass it

Take the 2-Step Classic, size against the 8% static floor while keeping daily losses inside the 4% limit (calculated from the prior day's close and including unrealised P/L), and clear the 7% targets across the minimum days. The same survival-first framework applies. Funded, the split scales 80→100% with milestones, payouts run weekly with a $50 minimum, and there are no mandatory profit targets — just stay above the drawdown limits.

Funded Trading Plus is a flexible forex home for automation: EAs and news allowed, static drawdown on the 2-Step Classic, five platforms, and a 100% split path. Just size for the daily limit's unrealised-loss inclusion.
