Free trading tools for prop firm traders

Four calculators built for systematic traders on funded accounts. Use them to size against your drawdown floor, estimate pass probability with Monte Carlo, build TradingView alerts and stress-test any strategy. No signup, no email required.

Pass probability

Pass Estimator

Pick account size, firm and portfolio — we run 1,500 Monte Carlo paths through that firm's drawdown rules and return modeled blow rate, P25/P50/P75 net and time-to-payout.

Decide if the eval is winnable before paying. Open estimator →
Drawdown-aware sizing

Position Size Calculator

Sizes contracts against your prop-firm drawdown buffer, not just account balance. MNQ and MGC presets included; custom value-per-point for any instrument.

Right-size every trade vs the floor that actually ends accounts. Open calculator →
TradingView automation

Pine Alert Generator

Builds copy-ready JSON for TradersPost (futures → Tradovate) or message lines for PineConnector (MT5 forex), with the right Pine placeholders baked in.

Skip the docs — paste the payload into TradingView. Open generator →
Strategy stress test

Monte Carlo Simulator

Paste win rate, avg win, avg loss and sample size. We resample 1,000 alternate sequences and report blow rate, percentile final balance and modeled drawdown.

The single most honest test of an edge. Open simulator →
Recovery math

Drawdown Recovery Calculator

Enter any drawdown percentage. See the gain required to recover. The math is asymmetric and most traders underestimate just how punishing deeper losses become.

Quick reality check before risking deep drawdowns. Open calculator →
Edge math

R-Multiple & Breakeven WR Calculator

Enter average winner, average loser, and commission. See your R-multiple, breakeven win rate, commission drag, and expectancy at common WR scenarios.

Validate strategy economics before going live. Open calculator →
Backtest score

Backtest Quality Checker

Paste your backtest metrics. Get a quality score (0–100) and a list of red flags that often indicate overfitting or unreliable results.

Sanity-check any backtest in 10 seconds. Open checker →

How to use them together

The tools chain into the workflow we use to decide whether a strategy survives on a funded account — in this order:

  1. Monte Carlo Simulator — start with your raw stats (win rate, avg win/loss, sample). If the modeled blow rate over a realistic trade horizon is high, the edge isn't funded-account-ready — fix it before paying any fee. See walk-forward vs Monte Carlo and risk of ruin.
  2. Pass Estimator — once the edge looks robust, pick a firm and account size. The estimator runs the same kind of simulation through that firm's exact drawdown rules and returns a modeled pass probability. Cross-check against the drawdown rules taxonomy.
  3. Position Size Calculator — size every trade against the binding drawdown buffer, not the account balance. This is where most funded accounts actually die. Background: sizing against trailing drawdown.
  4. Pine Alert Generator — when you're ready to deploy, build alert payloads that route through your chosen bridge. Compatible with TradersPost (Tradovate) and PineConnector (MT5). Full path: how to automate MNQ on a prop firm.
