Topstep payout paths: Standard vs Consistency, which pays faster
Topstep lets an Express Funded Account qualify for payouts in two ways. Which one is faster depends on how many days a strategy closes green and how big its best day is.
Two ways to qualify for an XFA payout

Choosing by the shape of the equity curve
The Standard path counts days that end $150 or more in profit. A strategy that trades once or twice a week, or that closes many days slightly red and a few strongly green, can take three weeks to collect five winning days. The Consistency path counts calendar trading days but caps the best one at 40% of the profit requested: to withdraw $2,500 no day may exceed $1,000.
Run both against the backtest: count the share of days that close above $150, and the largest day as a share of a typical two-week profit. If more than half the trading days clear $150, Standard is faster; if the largest day stays under a third of the two-week profit, Consistency is faster. A strategy that fails both tests is a strategy that needs sizing down on the XFA, because the Scaling Plan already caps it at 2 lots until $2,000 of balance.

Does Topstep have a consistency rule on funded accounts?
