Reset

A reset restores a failed or drawn-down evaluation account to its starting balance and drawdown floor for a fee, without buying a new evaluation.

How it works

Resets are typically cheaper than a fresh evaluation and keep the same account, but they wipe accumulated progress including trading days. Most firms offer them only at the evaluation stage; a breached funded account usually requires a new evaluation instead. Some firms run promotional reset pricing, which is why reset fees are a meaningful part of the total cost of passing.

Why it matters on a funded account

Reset cost is the honest denominator when comparing firms. A cheap evaluation with expensive resets, taken three times, costs more than an expensive evaluation passed once.
