Best prop firm for low win rate strategies

A strategy that wins 40% of the time with winners three times the size of losers is profitable and, at half the major firms, unpayable: one large winning day breaches the consistency cap however good the month was. The consistency rule filters on the shape of returns, not on profit. This is the shortlist of firms where that shape survives.

The rule that decides is at the payout stage, not the evaluation: Apex, Tradeify and Lucid Pro all let a low-win-rate strategy pass and then apply a cap when money is requested. Lucid Flex and FTMO are the two that never apply one. The consistency calculator shows how much profit a given best day requires before a request clears; the losing streak calculator shows how long the strategy will sit in drawdown between winners.

FAQ

Which prop firms have no consistency rule?

Take Profit Trader and FTMO on the evaluation; Lucid Flex on funded accounts. Apex, MyFundedFutures and Tradeify have none in the evaluation but apply one at payout.

Why does a low win rate fail the consistency rule?

Because profit arrives in a few large days. A 30% cap on a $3,000 month means no day above $900; a strategy whose winners average $1,200 will exceed it.

Does Topstep's consistency rule fail low win rate strategies?

No — it raises the profit target instead of failing the account. The test gets longer, not lost.
