Squeeze: the strategy that waits for the market to go quiet

Squeeze joined the catalog on 31 October 2026. It is the eleventh strategy family, it runs on MNQ, MGC, NAS and XAU, and all four tracks went into the PVE Index (Forex, Futures) at the 31 October rebalance. This is what it does, where it landed in the November ranking, and what its record looks like with the modeled and live layers kept apart.

What Squeeze waits for

Most of the families in the catalog trade a window after the open. Squeeze trades a condition. It waits for a period of clearly compressed volatility and takes the release when price leaves that range in the direction the move continues. If the market never compresses, it doesn't trade. On gold that can mean weeks with nothing on the chart.

Holds are short and stay within the session. On the futures presets (MNQ, MGC) the EOD guard closes any open position before the session ends, so a Squeeze position never carries into the overnight floor calculation. The qualification filters, entry triggers and exit logic are proprietary and hardcoded in the script. There is nothing to override and nothing to decide during the session.

Selectivity is the whole point. A strategy that only trades after compression spends most of its time flat. That is why it gets sized against the account's drawdown limit like everything else, and why it sits in a basket instead of being asked to carry an account on its own.

Where it landed in the November ranking

The ranking scores every catalog track on net per dollar of drawdown over the last twelve months (Nov 2025 – Oct 2026, which mixes modeled months to March 2026 and live months from April). The November 2026 edition has 36 tracks in four groups: Elite 1–8, Core 9–18, Specialist 19–27, High-variance 28–36.

Strategy ranking, November 2026 edition, with the four Squeeze tracks highlighted
Track Rank Group Change vs October
Squeeze NAS #6 of 36 Elite new (launch 31 Oct)
Squeeze XAU #21 Specialist new
Squeeze MGC #32 High-variance new
Squeeze MNQ #35 High-variance new

Same idea in the code, four instruments, four very different risk profiles. Squeeze NAS entered straight into the Elite group. Squeeze MNQ entered near the bottom. We publish both, because the ranking exists so you can see the difference before you size anything. A family is not a promise that every track behaves the same way; the instrument, the contract size and how often compression actually shows up decide most of it.

The record, layer by layer

Squeeze NAS is the headline track, so here is its record in full, on a 100K Swing account at the catalog preset.

Squeeze NAS, net on a 100K Swing account: modeled to March 2026 in grey, live since April 2026 in green
Layer Period Net on a 100K Swing account
Modeled Apr 2025 – Mar 2026 −$2,149
Live Apr 2026 – Oct 2026 +$33,128
Total Apr 2025 – Oct 2026 +$30,979

Two things to read from that table, separately.

The modeled year finished below zero. That is the year the strategy was tuned on, and the tuning didn't produce a green modeled year on NAS. We publish it as it is.

The live months since April are what carry the total. Seven months is a short record and we read it that way. The live layer is never a subset of another number on this site, and it never gets folded into the modeled one to make a nicer curve.

For the other three tracks, the same layers are on each track's page. Squeeze XAU is the one where the modeled year and the live months point the same way; MGC and MNQ are the two High-variance entries, and the Monte Carlo sizing check keeps both under the 15% blow-rate threshold at the catalog preset (Squeeze MNQ 13.8%, the highest in the catalog, still SAFE).

Why it goes into the Index with everything else

We don't add a family to the Index because it had a good stretch. The Index holds every catalog track, so the four Squeeze tracks sit next to the other ten families instead of replacing any of them. NAS and XAU went into the Forex version (100K Swing, now 18 tracks); MNQ and MGC went into the Futures version (150K Futures Prop, now 18 tracks). Weights as of 31 October 2026, history recalculated, and the composition note is on the Index page.

Holding everything is the same logic as in We picked the top 10% strategies. Holding all of them won.: the basket chosen on a fixed date and never re-picked on last quarter's result is the one that held its number at every lookback. Squeeze goes in under the same rule and gets measured by the same ranking next quarter, whichever way it moves.

What this means on a prop account

  • A compression strategy spends most sessions flat. On a prop account that is a feature: no exposure on days without a setup, and no urge to trade them.
  • On the futures presets the EOD guard removes the overnight question entirely.
  • Squeeze is one of 18 tracks in each Index version. Its worst days are measured inside the basket, against the account's daily limit and floor, and those numbers are on the Index page with the layer labeled.
  • If you run Squeeze on gold, expect quiet weeks. The strategy is doing its job when it doesn't trade.

FAQ

Is Squeeze a breakout strategy? It trades the release out of a compressed range, which is a breakout in the plain sense. The qualification of what counts as compression and the exit logic are proprietary and hardcoded; the public description stops at the premise.

Why is Squeeze NAS in Elite and Squeeze MNQ in High-variance if it's the same code? Different instrument, different contract step, different frequency of compression. The ranking scores each track on its own net per dollar of drawdown, so one family can land in two groups.

Why publish a negative modeled year? Because the live months are only readable next to the modeled year they followed. Folding one into the other would hide exactly the thing a buyer should see.

Do I pay extra for Squeeze? No. Every new family joins the system at no extra charge, on the instruments your plan covers.
