E8 Markets: rules card
Every E8 Markets rule (E8 One, E8 Signature, Classic and Track) that decides whether a strategy fits, on one page with sources and a verification date.
E8 Markets rules at a glance
| Rule | Current terms |
|---|---|
| Programs | E8 One (1-step, customizable target, drawdown and daily loss before purchase), E8 Signature (1-step, EOD dynamic drawdown), E8 Classic and E8 Track (legacy 1-step). No 2-step evaluation |
| Automation (EAs, bots) | Allowed without pre-approval on MT5 as long as the strategy is your own: the same EA across multiple accounts can end them. Server limit 2,000 order modifications per day; at least 50% of trades must stay open one minute or more (no HFT); cross-account hedging prohibited (help.e8markets.com, tradingfinder, proptradingvibes, 2026) |
| Copy trading | Between accounts you own, including challenge and Performance accounts; not between multiple E8 evaluation accounts and not from other traders (help center, Aug 2026) |
| Drawdown (evaluation) | Dynamic: intraday trailing on E8 One, Classic and Track, moving up on every new equity high; end-of-day dynamic on E8 Signature. Ceiling 4% (25K/50K Signature) up to a customizable 14% on E8 One |
| Drawdown (funded) | Same levels and same model carry over. E8 One: limit expands 1% per payout cycle, capped at 14%; Signature: drawdown becomes static once the profit buffer is reached |
| Daily loss limit | Set at purchase on E8 One (4% typical); breaching it ends the account |
| Profit targets | 6% on E8 One and Signature (customizable on E8 One) |
| Consistency | None in the evaluation. On Performance accounts a Best Day rule at payout: 40% on E8 One, Classic, Track; 35% on Signature (help center: no single day above 40% of total profit) |
| Minimum days | None to pass. Payout needs 5 profitable days at 0.3% each and a first-14-day wait on the funded account |
| News | Allowed in the evaluation. On funded accounts no opening or closing within 5 minutes either side of high-impact releases (buy/sell stops included); profits from the window can be removed. One EA-focused tracker states 2 minutes |
| Overnight and weekend | Permitted on E8 One; on Signature positions must be closed before the weekend (proptrusted, Jul 2026). Verify with firm for your product |
| Payout | On demand after the first 14 days: net profit must exceed 50% of the daily drawdown limit ($2,001 on a 100K with 4% daily), plus the Best Day check. Split up to 100% on E8 One forex/crypto; fixed 80% on Signature and all futures accounts |
| Leverage | Forex 1:30, indices 1:15, metals 1:15, crypto 1:1 (help center) |
| Platforms | MT5, plus E8 web platform; futures products separate |
| Instruments | Forex, indices (NAS100), metals (XAUUSD), crypto CFDs |
| Inactivity | 90 days without trading terminates the account |
Rows marked “Verify with firm” are where current rule trackers are silent or disagree; the firm’s own help center is the only binding source.
What this means for a systematic strategy
E8 is friendly to coded strategies at the evaluation stage and demanding once funded. In the evaluation there is no consistency check, no news window and no minimum days; the whole test is whether the system survives an intraday-trailing drawdown that moves on every equity high, which punishes a strategy that gives back open profit inside the session. E8 One lets you widen the drawdown and daily loss at purchase, which for a systematic strategy is worth more than a discount: buy the configuration whose worst Monte Carlo path fits.
Funded is where the rules arrive: a 40% Best Day cap at payout, a 5-minute news lockout, and a payout gate of 5 profitable days at 0.3% each. A strategy with one large day and many flat ones can sit unable to withdraw until the total catches up, so the sizing profile that passes fastest is not the one that pays out fastest.
Is E8 Markets worth it for a systematic strategy?
Yes for E8 One, with the drawdown bought wide and a news filter in the code. The leverage caps (1:15 on indices and metals) are low, which limits position size on NAS100 and gold, and the Best Day rule rewards steady curves. A strategy whose returns cluster in a few sessions should go elsewhere or size down until no session exceeds a third of expected monthly profit.
Skip Signature if the system holds over weekends.

FAQ
Does E8 Markets allow EAs?
Yes, without pre-approval, provided the strategy is unique to you: running the same EA across multiple accounts can terminate them. HFT is excluded by the rule that at least half of trades must stay open one minute or more.
Does E8 Markets have a consistency rule?
Not in the evaluation. On funded (Performance) accounts a Best Day rule applies at payout: no single day may exceed 40% of total profit on E8 One, Classic and Track, 35% on E8 Signature.
What is E8 Markets dynamic drawdown?
A trailing limit that follows your balance up: intraday on E8 One, Classic and Track (every new equity high moves it) and end-of-day on E8 Signature. On E8 One the limit widens 1% per payout cycle up to 14%; on Signature it turns static once the profit buffer is reached.
Can I trade news at E8 Markets?
In the evaluation, yes. On funded accounts you cannot open or close positions within 5 minutes either side of high-impact releases, and profit from trades that break the window can be removed.
How do E8 Markets payouts work?
On demand after the first 14 days on the funded account, once net profit exceeds half the daily drawdown limit and you have 5 profitable days of at least 0.3% each. Split up to 100% on E8 One forex and crypto, 80% on Signature and futures.
What leverage does E8 Markets offer?
1:30 on forex, 1:15 on indices and metals, 1:1 on crypto.
