Performance account
A performance account (PA) is Apex Trader Funding's term for its funded-stage account, the stage at which payouts become available.
How it works
The PA follows a passed evaluation and carries its own rule set: a consistency requirement applied at payout, a scaling plan restricting contracts until milestones are met, and since the March 2026 rulebook a prohibition on fully automated systems that does not apply during the evaluation. Traders may hold multiple PAs, counted across a household rather than per login.
Why it matters on a funded account
Because the PA rules differ materially from the evaluation rules at the same firm, a strategy validated on the evaluation has to be re-checked against the PA before funding.
