ProjectX

ProjectX is a white-label futures front-end built by Sims2Funded that prop firms licensed and rebranded for their evaluations. At the end of February 2026 it went exclusive to Topstep, and every other firm running it had to rebuild on another execution layer within weeks.

What this means for a systematic strategy

The ProjectX story is the clearest illustration of why the execution layer belongs on a firm-selection checklist. Six firms had their platform removed with weeks of notice, and their traders had to relearn a terminal mid-evaluation. Nothing in any of those firms' rulebooks changed; the supplier relationship did.

For a systematic strategy today ProjectX matters only if the firm is Topstep. There the picture is good: TopstepX with native TradingView integration removes the bridge subscription and one point of failure, and TradersPost connects through ProjectX for anyone who prefers a bridge anyway.
