What this means for a systematic strategy

Take Profit Trader is the clearest stage-switch case in the group: an end-of-day floor in the evaluation, intraday trailing on the funded PRO account. A strategy that scales out or holds through mid-move heat will pass the evaluation and then meet a floor that measures every tick. PRO+ restores EOD but at a higher cost. Bots are prohibited on PRO under the PRO Account Rules; alert-driven manual execution is the only path once funded.

Is Take Profit Trader worth it for a systematic strategy?

Rarely. This is the clearest stage-switch in futures: an end-of-day floor in the evaluation, intraday trailing on the funded PRO account. A strategy that scales out or holds through midday heat passes the test and then meets a floor that measures every tick. PRO+ restores end-of-day but at a higher cost.

Bots are prohibited on PRO under the PRO Account Rules, so alert-driven manual execution is the only path once funded. The $500 daily limit on a 25K PRO account is tight for anything with more than two stops in a session.

FAQ

Does Take Profit Trader have a consistency rule?

Only on the Test: no single day may be 50% or more of net P/L, alongside the minimum trading days. Breaching it does not fail the account, the profit goal increases instead. PRO and PRO+ have no consistency rule.

Is Take Profit Trader EOD or intraday?

End-of-day trailing on the Test, intraday trailing on the funded PRO account, EOD again on PRO+. The stage switch is the rule that catches most traders.

Does Take Profit Trader allow bots?

Not on PRO accounts: the PRO Account Rules prohibit bots. The Test policy is not published clearly, so confirm in writing before using any automation; alert-driven manual execution is the safe path.

How many contracts on a TPT 50K?

6 contracts, with micros at ten times the mini cap (60 micros).

What is the Take Profit Trader daily loss limit?

None on the Test since January 2025. On PRO it is $500 on a 25K, scaling with account size.

What are the Take Profit Trader payout rules?

An 80/20 split, with 5 winning days required per payout. PRO accounts trail intraday, PRO+ end-of-day.

Does Take Profit Trader have minimum trading days?

3 trading days on the Test per the help center (August 2026; several trackers still list 5), and 5 winning days per payout once funded.
