The5ers: rules card
Every The5ers rule (High Stakes, Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, Bootcamp) that decides whether a strategy fits, on one page with sources and a verification date.
The5ers rules at a glance
| Rule | Current terms |
|---|---|
| Programs | High Stakes (2-Step), Hyper Growth (1-Step), Pro Growth (1-Step, newest), Bootcamp (3-Step). Futures Basecamp accounts exist separately |
| Automation (EAs, bots) | Allowed on all programs; HFT and latency arbitrage prohibited (the5ers.com, tradetanto, thepropfirmguide, 2026) |
| Copy trading | Between your own accounts only, and only from an external account you own; the same trades across accounts stop being possible above $500K under management |
| Drawdown (evaluation) | Static from initial balance: 10% on High Stakes, 6% on Hyper Growth and Pro Growth, 5% on Bootcamp (per phase) |
| Drawdown (funded) | Same model; one tracker reports the funded maximum loss tightened from 5% to 4% on some programs. Verify with firm |
| Daily loss limit | High Stakes: 5%, breach ends the account. Hyper Growth: 3% daily pause, trading resumes next day. Pro Growth: 3%, breach ends the account. Bootcamp: 3–5% by source |
| Profit targets | High Stakes: 10% then 5%; Hyper Growth and Pro Growth: 10%; Bootcamp: 6% per phase |
| Consistency | None on any program (the5ers.com, thepropfirmguide, fxempire); one review claims a 50% rule before the first payout, contradicted by the firm’s own program pages |
| Minimum days | High Stakes: 3 profitable days per step, a day counting at 0.5% of initial balance; Pro Growth: 3 profitable days; Hyper Growth and Bootcamp: none |
| News | Holding through news allowed; on High Stakes no new order (market or pending) within 2 minutes either side of high-impact releases; Hyper Growth and Bootcamp permit news trading except bracket strategies around releases |
| Overnight and weekend | Holding permitted on all programs; index swaps can be high |
| Scaling | Doubling scale-up plan to $4M with the split rising 50% → 60% → 80% → 90% → 100%; High Stakes starts at 80%; Pro Growth starts at 75% and scales incrementally to a $500K cap |
| Payout | First payout 14 days after the funded account is issued, then every two weeks; the cycle resets on each scaled account |
| Leverage | 1:100 on High Stakes, 1:30 on Hyper Growth and Pro Growth |
| Fees | Hyper Growth fee refunded on the first payout; Bootcamp unlock fee $350 after passing |
| Platforms | MT5 (hedge mode), cTrader |
| Instruments | Forex, gold and silver, index CFDs (NAS100), oil, crypto CFDs |
| Inactivity | Account expires after 30 consecutive days without trading, counted from registration |
| Region | Trackers disagree on US residents (one lists the US as restricted, another as accepted). Verify with firm |
Rows marked “Verify with firm” are where current rule trackers are silent or disagree; the firm’s own help center is the only binding source.
What this means for a systematic strategy
The5ers is one of the older CFD firms and its rulebook is unusually stable: static drawdown at every stage, no consistency rule, EAs allowed, weekend holding on every program. For a coded strategy the choice is between programs, not rules. High Stakes has the most room (10% maximum loss, 1:100) but a 5% daily loss that terminates and a 2-minute news lockout on new orders; Hyper Growth has half the room (6%) but the daily 3% is a pause, not a breach, which is the friendlier structure for a system that clusters trades on volatile days.
The scale-up ladder matters more here than at most firms because the starting split is low (50% on Hyper Growth and Bootcamp) and only rises with milestones; a strategy that produces steady 5–10% steps climbs it, a strategy that produces one large month and then flat does not.
Is The5ers worth it for a systematic strategy?
Yes, with Hyper Growth for a clustering system and High Stakes for a calmer one. No consistency rule, static floors and weekend holding remove the three rules that most often break systematic accounts elsewhere. The cost is the split: 50% at the bottom of the ladder on two of the four programs, so the strategy has to earn its way to 80–100%.
Skip it if the system places orders inside the 2-minute news window on High Stakes, or if you need 1:100 leverage on a 1-Step program (Hyper Growth is 1:30).

FAQ
Does The5ers allow EAs?
Yes, on every program. High-frequency trading and latency arbitrage are prohibited; ordinary rule-based EAs on MT5 or cTrader are permitted.
Does The5ers have a consistency rule?
No. The firm’s program pages and current rule trackers state there is no consistency rule on High Stakes, Hyper Growth or Bootcamp. One review mentions a 50% rule before the first payout; it is contradicted by the firm’s own documentation.
What is the daily loss rule at The5ers?
High Stakes: 5% of the initial balance, and reaching it ends the account. Hyper Growth: a 3% daily pause, after which trading resumes the next day. Pro Growth: 3% and the breach ends the account.
Can I hold trades over the weekend at The5ers?
Yes, on all programs. Overnight and weekend holding is permitted; index swaps can be higher than on forex pairs.
How do The5ers payouts work?
The first payout is available 14 days after the funded account is issued, then every two weeks. The split starts at 80% on High Stakes and 50% on Hyper Growth and Bootcamp, rising to 100% at the top of the scale-up plan.
Does The5ers accept US traders?
Sources conflict: one rule tracker lists the US as restricted, another states US traders are accepted. Check the firm’s terms for your country before buying.
