| What it is | Spotware’s forex and CFD platform (desktop, web, mobile). The usual second platform at CFD prop firms next to MT5, and the only platform at PipFarm. |
| Prop firms on it | FundingPips, FundedNext (CFD), The5ers, PipFarm, Alpha Capital Group, Blue Guardian, Funded Trading Plus, The Trading Pit, BrightFunded |
| TradingView | No native TradingView connection. Charts are cTrader’s own; execution from TradingView alerts needs a webhook relay into a cBot or the cTrader Open API. |
| Bridges that connect | Webhook relays built on cTrader Open API or a cBot that listens for alerts; no mainstream off-the-shelf TradingView bridge comparable to TradersPost |
| Automation | Native: cBots written in C# (cTrader Automate). Allowed or not is the firm’s rule; PipFarm’s automation policy is cTrader-only |
| Cost on a prop account | Included at the firms listed; a VPS if a cBot must run 24/5 |
| Notable | FundingPips states cTrader is not offered to US residents; availability by country is set by each firm’s broker |
What this means for a systematic strategy
cTrader is the clean choice when the firm bans MT5 for your region or when you prefer C# over MQL5. The cost is tooling: no mainstream TradingView bridge, so a Pine-coded strategy is either rewritten as a cBot or connected through a custom webhook relay.
Because PipFarm runs only cTrader and allows automation only there, its account is effectively a cBot account; a strategy that lives in TradingView has to be ported before it can trade.

FAQ
Which prop firms use cTrader?
On the rules cards, verified September 2026: FundingPips, FundedNext (CFD), The5ers, PipFarm, Alpha Capital Group, Blue Guardian, Funded Trading Plus, The Trading Pit, BrightFunded.
Does cTrader work with TradingView?
Not natively. Charting stays in cTrader; alert-driven execution needs a webhook relay into a cBot or the Open API.
Can I run bots on cTrader at a prop firm?
The platform runs cBots natively. Whether the firm allows them is on its rules card; PipFarm, for instance, allows automation through cTrader only.
Platform availability taken from each firm’s rules card, verified September 2026 against the firm’s program pages and current trackers; several cards carry a “verify with firm” note because firms change platforms with weeks of notice.
