PineConnector
PineConnector is the TradingView bridge for MetaTrader, which makes it the forex prop firm bridge and irrelevant for futures. The change that matters in 2026: PineConnector Cloud shut down on 31 March, so hosting is now yours to arrange.
PineConnector at a glance
| Detail | |
|---|---|
| What it connects | TradingView alerts to MT4 and MT5 accounts |
| Prop firms reachable | FTMO, FundingPips, The5ers, E8 Markets, FundedNext CFD and any other MT4/MT5-based firm |
| Futures firms | None. Futures prop accounts run on Tradovate, Rithmic or ProjectX — use TradersPost or PickMyTrade instead. |
| Cloud | PineConnector Cloud sunset on 31 March 2026. Existing users were asked to migrate to their own VPS; a managed execution environment has since been reintroduced through the PineConnector portal. |
| VPS | Required for 24/7 execution if self-hosting — roughly $15 to $30 per month. Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 or Windows 10/11; the provider must allow DLL imports. |
| Pricing | $39 per month for one broker account, $79 for three, $159 for ten; roughly $26 per month effective on annual billing. 14-day free trial. |
| Latency | Typically under one second |
| TradingView limit | TradingView disables alerts firing more than 15 times per 3 minutes — a hard ceiling on signal frequency regardless of the bridge |
| Security | Signal authentication with a secret key; symbol mapping for broker-specific naming |
What this means for a systematic strategy
Two costs are easy to miss. The VPS is one — self-hosting adds $15 to $30 per month on top of the licence, and the terminal has to stay running, so a laptop that sleeps breaks the strategy. The other is TradingView's own limit of fifteen alert triggers per three minutes, which caps signal frequency no matter which bridge sits underneath.
On the firm side the clause to read is FTMO's own-logic requirement: running a script you have licensed is permitted, subscribing to someone else's signals through the same bridge may not be. FundingPips allows EAs on all challenge types since April 2026, which makes it the more permissive of the two.
