What this means for a systematic strategy

FundedNext is a workable venue for a coded strategy as long as the platform choice is right: EAs run on MT4 and MT5, not on cTrader, so a TradingView-to-MT5 bridge is the path, and the prohibited-strategy list (HFT, latency arbitrage, grid, cross-account hedging) does not touch a rule-based single-position system. The number that shapes sizing is the static 10% maximum loss on the 2-Step with a 5% daily limit measured on equity: the daily limit is the one that ends accounts, so a system that stacks several NAS100 positions inside one session needs its worst intraday cluster measured against 5%, not the 10%.

Two rows need attention before the first withdrawal. The 40% news rule only bites if the system trades into releases; a time filter around Tier-1 events removes it. And the consistency question is unresolved in public documentation, which is exactly the kind of rule that appears at payout rather than at purchase.

Is FundedNext (CFD) worth it for a systematic strategy?

Yes, on MT5, with a time filter around news. Static drawdown at both stages, weekend holding and a refundable fee make the 2-Step one of the cleaner CFD evaluations for a system that trades NAS100 and gold. The Instant model removes the evaluation but starts at a 70% split with a trailing floor, which suits a strategy with a small, steady curve more than a lumpy one.

Skip it if the strategy needs cTrader (no EAs there) or holds through high-impact news as part of its edge.

FAQ

Does FundedNext allow EAs and bots?

Yes on MT4 and MT5, as long as the EA stays within the drawdown rules. EAs are not permitted on cTrader. HFT, latency arbitrage, tick scalping, grid strategies and hedging across accounts are prohibited.

What is the FundedNext daily drawdown?

5% of the initial balance on Stellar 2-Step, measured on equity; 3% on Stellar 1-Step; none on Stellar Instant. Breaching it ends the account, unlike most other rules which only delay a payout.

Does FundedNext have a consistency rule on CFD accounts?

Public sources disagree: one rulebook describes a payout-stage consistency check as a soft breach, others state there is none on CFD funded accounts. The futures Flex challenge has a 40% rule. Confirm with support for your plan before the first withdrawal.

Can I trade news at FundedNext?

Yes. On funded accounts, trades executed within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact release count 40% of their profit toward the account balance; losses count in full.

How fast are FundedNext payouts?

Stellar 1-Step: first payout 5 days after passing, then every 5 business days. Stellar 2-Step: first payout 21 days after passing, then every 14 days. Split starts at 80% and scales to 95%.

Can I hold trades over the weekend at FundedNext?

Yes on the Stellar models; the firm states trades can be held as long as you want, including weekends.
